Gsp Return
Khabib Nurmagomedov may return to the UFC Octagon for one more big fight. However, it seems like most fans want to see the dream match between Khabib and Georges St-Pierre.
GSP ended his career with an almost identical win-streak to Khabib, with both calling it quits while on a 13-fight win-streak. But GSP has aged over the last few years while Khabib entered his prime as a fighter.
- However, there has been chatter in recent months about a GSP comeback. The reason being, UFC lightweight champion Khabib Nurmagomedov wants this fight, and so do the fans. However, there appear to be too many hurdles to climb to make that happen, as White once again shot down any sort of rumors about a GSP return.
- Aug 19, 2020 Will GSP Return? St-Pierre revealed a “nagging wrist injury” on Tuesday that could potentially keep the 39-year-old from taking that or any other comeback fight. St-Pierre posted some videos of.
- Jan 04, 2020 With McGregor set for his own Octagon return later this month at UFC 246 the promotion would likely welcome GSP back with open arms in effort to make 2020 the most productive year in company.
- Georges St-Pierre (French pronunciation: ʒɔʁʒ sɛ̃ pjɛʁ; born May 19, 1981) is a Canadian former professional mixed martial artist. He is widely regarded as one of the greatest fighters in mixed martial arts (MMA) history.
While both men aren’t spring chickens, Khabib is significantly younger and more in his prime than GSP could imagine being in. As a result, Khabib has said that he will not return against GSP, even though he would love to.
“When you say Georges St-Pierre, this name really motivates me. GSP really makes me excited and so on but it’s all over, brother. He’s 40 years old. Let’s just leave it.
Jul 23, 2020 Georges St-Pierre was previously called out by Welterweight Champion Kamaru Usman. GSP has revealed if he will return to Octagon action for a fight against Usman or not.
“For sure we like him as a human being. He is the legend. He is the decent representative of mixed martial arts. Let it be like this, there’s GSP and Khabib.”

There is a lot of interest in seeing Khabib back inside the UFC Octagon. The Lightweight champion retired in his prime and could have achieved a lot more.
But no matter who he can face now, everyone wants him to go down the path of facing Georges St-Pierre, who hasn’t fought since 2017.

Khabib Nurmagomedov is still one of the best fighters in the UFC. However, his future is way too uncertain for people to genuinely understand what he is thinking about.
Hopefully, Khabib can make the best decision according to what he wants. While everyone would love to see him return, that doesn’t seem on the cards. At least against GSP.

The Gilbert and Sullivan Operettas
Our group is dedicated to performing the joint works of Sir W.S. Gilbert (1836-1911), playwright and humorist, and Sir Arthur Sullivan (1842-1900), unofficial composer laureate of England and favorite of Queen Victoria. Together they wrote a series of fourteen comic operettas (including H.M.S. Pinafore, The Pirates of Penzance, and The Mikado)which were wildly popular in their own time and are still widely performed by amateur and professional groups today, over a hundred years after their creation.
These operettas were the forerunners of our modern musicals, and in many ways resemble them more than they do the grand operas. Their songs and choruses -- mostly light and comic in nature -- are interspersed with spoken dialogue rather than recitative. In fact, few if any of the performers in Gilbert and Sullivan's original productions were professional opera singers; some of the chorus members were even outright amateurs.
Though over a century old, the works of Gilbert and Sullivan are as fresh and sparkling today as the day they were written. Gilbert may have chosen specific aspects of Victorian society for his satire, but his wit is as relevantnow as it ever was: 'I always voted at my party's call / And I never thought of thinking for myself at all,' sings Sir Joseph Porter in Pinafore, but the lines could as easily belong to most modern politicians.
Gilbert and Sullivan songs continue to turn up in places as diverse as episodes of 'The Muppet Show' (Tit-Willow), 'Animaniacs' (Three Little Maids from School, as well asmuch of The Pirates of Penzance), 'The Simpsons'(selections from The Mikado and H.M.S. Pinafore) and 'Rumpole of the Bailey' (The Flowers that Bloom in the Spring, among others). As recently as 1982, Joseph Papp mounted a successful production of The Pirates of Penzance on Broadway, with Linda Ronstadt and Kevin Kline in two of the leading roles.
